Privacy Policy

Effective 25 October 2026

KT Karaoke ("the app") is a karaoke app for Android TV and Android devices that plays videos through the YouTube API Services. This page explains what data the app uses, where it is kept, and how you control it.

In short

  • We run no server that stores your data. Everything stays on your TV and with Google/YouTube.
  • The app has no advertising or analytics of its own.
  • Connecting a YouTube account is optional, read-only, and can be revoked at any time.

Data the app uses

  • Search terms are sent to the YouTube Data API to find videos.
  • The song queue and singer names (if entered) are kept in the TV's memory only and are cleared when the app closes. A phone's browser remembers the name typed on it so it does not have to be re-entered.
  • Phone remote: phones talk to the TV directly over your local Wi-Fi; nothing passes through our servers. The code in the QR keeps other devices on the same Wi-Fi from controlling the queue.

Connecting a YouTube account (optional)

If you choose to connect an account, the app requests the youtube.readonly scope (view your YouTube account, read-only) to:

  • show your playlists and liked videos so songs can be picked from the remote;
  • run searches on behalf of your account.

The app never posts, edits or deletes anything in your account. The refresh token is stored only in the app's private storage on that TV and is never sent to us or any third party. Use "Sign out" in the app to delete it from the TV, or revoke access on your Google Account permissions page.

KT Karaoke's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

YouTube and Google

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Data sent to YouTube/Google (such as searches, video playback and thumbnail requests) is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

This website

kt-karaoke.officebk.co is served through Cloudflare. The server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. No tracking cookies or analytics are used. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
